Shiraho is placed at the offing 1km of southeast parts of the Ishigaki Island in Yaeyama Islands. The coral reef is ranged in 1-2km north and south. The coral reef will continue living about 200 to 300 years. There are living more than 100 Hama-coral, which are cylindrical form called a micro stole in Shiraho. Also there is small fishes such as Suzumedai, Cyocyouo goby, crabs, prawns that also inhabit the surroundings of coral.
