When you drive straight over the oversea
bridge (Kaichu Doro) from Katsuren-cho in central area of Okinawa Island
towards Ikei Island, you will come across the Ikei Bridge. Ikei Beach
will be on the left hand side after crossing this bridge. The beach is
a great place to enjoy swimming without worrying about high or low tides.
This beach provides a variety of facilities, and although there is a fee
charge, you can also enjoy seaside recreation such as a ride on a glass
boat and barbeques. Today, the corals there are conserved by transplantation
of coral larvae. |
