Among the experts who contributed to the reconstruction was the coloring research team, whose members reviewed the original colors and patterns used for the castle. I was one of the coloring team members (other members include Eizo Inagaki, Takuya Konishi, Kurayoshi Takara, Aiko Nadoyama, and Kanzo Hirano) who conducted studies both outside Japan (China and Korea) and inside (Kyoto and Kagoshima). Based on these studies and research on reference materials, all of the colors and patterns of each object of the Seiden were determined. The structure and colors of "golden dragons and polychrome clouds" were decided by the coloring research team.
