Listening to Kumiodori

"Kumiodori is for listening" is an expression used by elderly persons. It is said that Kumiodori contains abundant elements for listening to that extent. There are times when the "Tigutu" is used, wherein the character's rank is shown by using only accompanying music, the highlight is the dance that goes along with the music, and the role's feelings are expressed by the music. Kumiodori, which is a musical drama-style performing art, becomes complete only with music as its basis.
