A nymph's Robe

The outline of the story

When a nymph is bathing at the water's edge, Okuma Ufuya happens to pass by. He is so fascinated by her beauty that he steals her robe. The girl who is sad at not finding her robe is comforted by Okuma. They get married soon. Time flies and two children are born to them. Now, they are a happy man and wife. But, one day, the nymph finds her robe Okuma hid in the storehouse. She melts into tears cursing her fate. She makes up her mind to go back to the heaven leaving her children. She wears her robe to fly in the sky.

It is based on the legend of Hagoromo in Ginowan City and "Tsuru no Ongaeshi" in the mainland of Japan. It is one of the plays which is famous for various direction.
