The outline of the story

The father of Agarimon and the father of Higagwa in Chatan village are both stubbon old men. But they are good men. The only daughter of Agarimon and the second son of Higagwa are engaged and they are to get married before long. But the father of Higagwa has changed his mind. He intends to have his eldest son's wife get married with his second son. Because his eldest son ran away from home, they don't know where he is now. The father of Agarimon is astonished at this and they have a hot dispute. Meanwhile his first son returns home. The father of Higagwa who gets angry sends him back again saying that he cannot stand the sight of his son.
