The content of the story is that of a man named Mooi Oyakata full of wit who argues down Satsuma who giving unreasonable demands with his bright ideas. Especially, when the king says that he will give any prize to Mooi if he can resolve three difficult questions, he proposes that he be allowed to one-day be king. He tears up the note of the fifteen-article regulation which is forced on the Ryukyus by Satsuma and lectures the high officials of Satsuma on their tyranny. The oppressed people of the Ryukyus feel satisfied with this scene. And the scene in which Mooi helps a thief to lead an honest life was very popular.
