[Biographical outline]
Born in Naha city, In 1935, he became a pupil of Seiichi Ishu (Shuri-te),
and in 1946 he started studying under Choshin Chibana (Shuri-te).
Became Representative Director of the Shorin-ryu in 1956.
Appointed Vice President of the Okinawa Shorin Karate-do
Association in 1969. Asked to be Advisor to the Okinawa Karatedo
Konwakai in 1990. Worked as Vice President of the Okinawa-ken
Karate-do Renmei (Federation of All-Okinawa Karate-do
Organizations - formerly the All Okinawa Kobudo League) in
1995.
