Born in Naha City. Studied under Hiroshi Shinjo, Buei Kohama, and
Eiichi Miyazato (Naha-te) in 1948. Held various positions,
including President of Federation of Okinawa Karate and Martial
Arts with Weaponry, President of Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate-do
Preservation Association, President of Naha City Joint Association
of Karate and Martial Arts with Weaponry, and Honorary Director
of Nanpa Shorin Martial Arts Association of Quanzhou, China.
