[Biographical outline]
Born in Naha City. Became a pupil of Chojun Miyagi (Naha-te) in 1939. In 1957, cooperated with the Jundo Kan, founded by Eiichi Miyazato. Elected Vice President of the Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate-do Association in 1969. Became special Advisor to Nippon Goju Association in 1993 and Counselor of Okinawa-ken Karate-do Renmei in 2000.

[Martial Arts Career]

1939	Became pupil of Chojun Miyagi.
1942	Performed an individual enbu demonstration at Butoku-den along with several masters, including Chojun Miyagi, on the visit to Okinawa of an Imperial messenger, Chamberlain Ogura.
1953	Gave a lesson with Eiichi Miyazato in place of Chojun Miyagi.
1957	Served as Karate Club coach at Naha Commercial High School for about one year.
1963	Performed an enbu demonstration to commemorate the unveiling ceremony of a bust of Chojun Miyagi.
1983	Performed an exemplary enbu demonstration at the All Japan Goju-ryu Karate-do Championship Tournament to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Chojun Miyagi's death.
