  | [Biographical outline] Born in Nishihara Town. In 1933, became a pupil of Chotoku Kyan (Shuri-te). In 1938, studied under Kanbun and Kanei Uechi at Traditional Uechi-Ryu Karate Institute in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture. Became Vice President of Uechi-ryu Karate-do Association in 1970 and Vice President of All Okinawa Karate-do Renmei in 1976. In 1978, elected as the 1st President of Han-Konan-ryu Karate-do Renmei. In 1990, he renamed the Renmei to 'Okinawa Konan-ryu Karate-do Association' and became its Supreme Advisor.
