| Professor
Kimura has played an active role in the first wave of the deep ocean research
in Japan they take pride in the marine research level as one of the best
in the world. It is well known that he found a fossil of large mammals
like an elephant in the vicinity of 600 meters below the surface of the
sea at Ketama Gap between Okinawa's main island and Miyakojima as a result
of researching the background of the Ryukyu Narrow Islands from the deposit
underseas, and he demonstrated the existence of the Ryukyu Old Land.
However, Professor Kimura says that the vicinity of a remains point
in Yonaguni may have once been a land from the start. As it became clear
it was an artifact, he formed the Marine Research Group in 1992 and they
contended with the academic investigation of the seabed structural things.
As a result, they announced that it was an artifact in 1997. |
