| About B.C. 1200, the Phoenician who settled at the beach part of Lebanon now. Aftertha, they began to go to the sea in order to seek for a tin, a metal, a diamond, rice and a cotton actively. The greatest achievement they left in the history is that they invented the “ Phoenician” which became a prototype of the alphabet. The Phoenician consists of two streams, in short, in large. One of them is the road to Greece. The Phoenician which consists of 22 consonants, adding the vowel here, became a form nearer to the present Alphabets. Another is a way to the Aram people. The Aram language derived from the old Phoenician became a common language all over the West Asia, after that. It is known that the present Central Asia type Character has an origin in all the Aram character. The background which the Phoenician was produced. It comes from the nationhood of the Phoenician people. They were a trading people who deal with the sea trade. The sphere came to the Black Sea, the Atlantic Ocean (Britain) , the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. In the process of that, they came to build the trading city state at each area, then, they had some problem that they trade with people with a different language. Before the Phoenician, the sphenogram existed. But, in order to use them when they trade the business promptly, they were complicated. Then, the “Phoenician” which is an ideogram was produced. | |
