| In
the upper part, they are called the Barazan and the Warazan,
which are a kind of badge made of straw used by people who don't know
character in the Ryukyu Dynasty Period. The Barazan was used
to show and distinguish the items and quantity depending on a way of connecting
it by tying the knot and a bud of straw. In short, it was a kind of the
method to calculate by people who had no kowlege of writing. The actual
thing is in Taketomi-cho, but Mr. Sasamori Gisuke states as follows in
the Nanto Tanken written when visiting Yonaguni in the 26the
year of Meiji era. He says, I know that it uses the form of elephant
with a reverse of the knotted cord when I look at the contracting sentences
of Yonaguni now. People in this island will use the sentences like an
elephant that are indicated in a knotted cord like a Tamakatsuma as it
is seen like a thing of the age when they tied the grass and used it.
There is the remains in ancient Period now, so it means that there is
an evidence that the Yokushanou visited Japan in ancient age. In the lower
part, it is called the Keep handed down in the Inca Empire
in South America. It is said that in the Inca Empire where there were no
characters, when they reigned a vast territory, they stockpiled the report
corresponding to the census register such as the management of the people
and the information of the tax with a Keep like this. The officer who
had a special capability called the Keep Kamayokku was placed
at every office, and decoded it. It is said that it may have been a memory
device by a precise digital system like a pulse signal. Now, nobody has
succeeded in decoding of it. It is vey interesting to hear the fact that
the memory device of the same straw as this handed down the people in
the Yaeyama district and Peru behind the earth. |
