Kochinda's Pottery
Atsushi Tomoyose, who lived in Mexico for four years, presently resides in Kochinda Town* and creates outlandish potteries themed on Yanbaru scenery and fish. There is also a woodcraft association called "K-Factory" in Kochinda, formed by four woodcraft artists including Moriki Iju, who creates unique arts with Okinawan materials. The association workshop also has an exhibition gallery and a cafe, so drop by if you have the chance.
*Cause of merger, the city name changed to "Yaese Town" in January, 2006.
