Hamahiga Bridge Linking Islands
To get to Hamahiga Island, you would have to drive through the Sea Road and Hamahiga Bridge, constructed high above the azure sea. The island is about 6.5 km in circumference, a sacred land where many Ryukyuan mythologies remain. It only takes about 20 minutes to drive around the island, and you will see heaps of sacred groves including the cave of Shirumichu and the tomb of Amamikiyo, the creator goddess of Okinawa.
