Lion-dance of Matsuda title_tabLion-dance of Matsuda Ginoza's "Chondara" is a celebratory performing art that has been designated an "Intangible Cultural Heritage" by the prefecture, and which began August 15, 1900 of the lunar calendar when it was performed on stage during the 15-night "Ashibi" event. Other famous exhibitions of Soukei are Mijitaya, a hand dance, and the lion-dance of Matsuda. There are many more festivals before and after August 10 of the lunar calendar, namely the Harvest Festival, Ginoza Village Festival and Kanna Dam Summer Festival.
