Ie Island's Symbol: Craggy Mountains of Ie Island Tachu
The Motobu Peninsula is situated in the northern region of mainland Okinawa; 9 km northwest is where Ie Island is found. Approximately 60 km of sheer cliffs stretch along the north coast, and the south extends a white, sandy beach. In the center of the island looms the sacred Gusuku Mountain, which safeguards the village.
