The word "Tiandaa" in the Okinawa language would mean in English, "doing something with tender loving care," or producing something that is elaborate, intricate. Ryukyu cuisine has been elaborated and refined over a long period of time by the thoughts, imagination and wisdom of our ancestors. "Tiandaa" is a word that says our cuisine was born of the crystallization of love and diligent effort.
