Nimono (boiled) Recipes

The special feature of boiled dishes is the use of pork stock for a rich, robust flavor. There are several different methods. Some dishes are stir-fried, then boiled, while some are deep-fried then boiled. In fish dishes, too, the fish are first fried in oil or deep-fried and then boiled. Some Nimono dishes are very similar to soup dishes.
